On 20th May 2016 at Fabryka Trzciny in Warsaw an exhibition and presentation of the Institute of Aviation achievements on the occasion of the 90th anniversary connected with the Gala and Jubilee Ball was held. The current and former employees, as well as the invited guests from Poland and abroad, participated in the event.
A guide, an album with unique drawings of the young pilot from the Second World War, and another part of a popular book on the history of painting and marking of aircraft and helicopters with the sign of red and white chessboard – these and other books were presented at the stand of the Publishing Houses of the Institute of Aviation at the largest book fair, which took place on 19-22 May 2016 at the PGE Narodowy stadium in Warsaw.
On 19-20th May 2016, the Institute of Aviation became the venue for the 34th EREA Board and General Assembly. EREA (Association of European Research Establishments in Aeronautics), is a non-profit organization, associating European national research institutes from the field of aeronautics. Institute of Aviation is also a member of this organization. The meeting was focused on the topic of European research and innovation for the global aerospace until 2050.
A three-volume, richly illustrated guide showing the most interesting historical places associated with aviation in Warsaw is the latest book of the Publishing Houses of the Institute of Aviation. The official premiere of the guide will be held on May 21st, 2016 at 2 p.m. during the 10th Academic and Scientific Book Fair ACADEMIA at the PGE Narodowy stadium in Warsaw.
Striking drawings drawn from deep recesses of memory, fleeting, slim memories, the story of a young man fascinated with aviation…And death, which put an abrupt stop to these dreams. The Publishing Houses of the Institute of Aviation have just released an unique album with the drawings by Jan Sęk created in 1938-1943. The publication was prepared by the employees of the Institute of Aviation: Witold Świeczak and Radosław Suchożebrski.
The 16th edition of the Polish-American Conference on Science and Technology was held on 16-17 May 2016 at the Institute of Aviation. The event was teeming with presentations related not only to aviation, but it was also an opportunity for discussion and sharing experiences. The organizers of the conference were the Institute of Aviation and the Ohio State University.
